ISSUES OF HARMONIZING NATIONAL LEGISLATION RELATED TO TOURISM IN THE PROCESS OF JOINING THE WTO

The article analyzes topical issues related to harmonizing the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the tourism sector with the requirements of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) in the context of the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The purpose of the study is to provide a scientific justification for the need to gradually liberalize the tourism services market and to simplify licensing and certification procedures. The research employs comparative legal, normative-legal, and analytical methods. The findings indicate that the formation of a legal framework aligned with international standards enhances the competitiveness of the tourism sector. The conclusions of the study have practical significance for improving tourism policy and implementing GATS commitments into national legislation.
