REFLECTIONS ON LEGAL VOCABULARY IN ABDULLA QAHHOR’S SHORT STORY “THE THIEF” AND A BRIEF CONCORDANCE DICTIONARY

This article discusses the language of Abdulla Qahhor’s works, the author’s skillful use of words, and therefore the fact that his works are written in a very folk way. As proof of these ideas, a low-frequency dictionary was compiled and analyzed based on his story “The Thief.” Proverbs and sayings, phraseological expressions, periphrases, as well as legal terms used in the story are touched upon. In particular, opinions were expressed about the terms used for legal concepts of that period and their current use. At the end of the article, the frequency of key words in the story is studied a little, and attention is paid to a partial analysis in this regard.
